| Manuel López Oliva was born in Manzanillo, Eastern region of Cuba, in 1947. Portraits of Latin American heroes, his visions of the Havana Cathedral, full of colors and loose brushstrokes; and Cuban landscapes, painted with certain neo-expressionism, reflecting Cuban fine arts as expressions of a true creative art, are part of his fruitful work. Antonio Núñez Jiménez. Excerpt of the book "The One-Hundred Faced Admiral. Publications of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, 1991. |
