She has a degree in the specialty of Interior Decorator for Tourism, Cafeterias and Restaurants and in Fashion Design in the specialty of Cuban Television. Ileana Mulet has shown her unyielding attitude before the hostility towards the landscape language demonstrated by the means at its beginning. She drew her sustenance from an open, spontaneous, expressionist language, full of the historical subjects of an old, colonial city. Today she is considered to be the pioneer of this trend in Cuba and n example for the new generations that are dealing with a subject that seemed already forgotten: landscape.
In 1991, she travels to Spain and exhibits her work in Palma de Majorca, thus beginning a series of continual travels in which the artist exhibited her works, reaching private and museum collections in different countries. Among them, Spain, the United States of America, Mexico, Colombia, Sweden, Guatemala, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan, Nigeria, Jamaica, and Argentina.
