(Havana, January 2nd, 1957)

Photographer and graduated in English Language at the Pedagogic Higher Institute of Foreign Languages (ISPLE).

He joins the national photographic world about the end of 1980, leading the new tendencies in Cuban photography since 1990, tacking first interiors and domestic situations in Cuba at present and then going into his own body in subjects like being black, sexual ambiguity and the influence of consumerism and the market through self-portraits.

He develops his series starting from a conceptual analysis, formal and structurally different from all the established parameters until then, going from a brutal expressionism to a marked homoeroticism, with strong mystic elements, tendencies of plastic experiments and a certain theatrical staging.
